Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Unity Programmer with strong technical expertise to join our development team. In this role, you will lead the technical implementation of game features, optimize performance, and ensure smooth integration between code and design. You’ll mentor junior developers, collaborate closely with designers and artists, and play a key role in bringing Floaty’s games to life.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and implementation of core game systems in Unity.
2. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C# code.
3. Optimize game performance across multiple platforms (mobile & PC/console).
4. Collaborate with designers and artists to integrate gameplay features.
5. Debug and resolve complex technical issues.
6. Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews.
7. Mentor and support junior programmers in the team.
8. Stay up to date with the latest Unity features and industry practices.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in game development, with at least 3 years working in Unity.
2. Strong proficiency in C# and Unity game engine.
3. Experience with mobile and/or console development.
4. Solid understanding of optimization techniques and performance profiling.
5. Experience with multiplayer systems and backend integration is a plus.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A passion for games and delivering polished player experiences.
